Vehicles with low or zero emissions
Electric and hybrid vehicles can have slightly different Benefit-in-Kind (BIK) tax rates and tax benefits. For example fully electric vehicles are exempt from Vehicle Excise Duty – otherwise known as road tax.
Current company car BIK rates start at:
- 0% for pure-electric models
- 3% for new PHEV models
- 21% for the greenest hybrids
- 23% for any car with 100 g/km CO2 or more
