The 8 new vehicles coming in 2026 that fleets should consider

10th Feb 2026

2026 promises to be a big year for fleets with an influx of new Chinese brands and new models across most manufacturers.

It seems most traditional brands are starting to get to grips with electric and hybrid powertrains whether that be plug-in or more traditional when it comes to the latter. These things matter for fleet decisions where driver usability, reliability, policy fit and total cost of ownership determine decisions.

With that in mind, we’ve taken a deep dive into what’s to come this year across both cars and commercial vehicles giving you a definitive list of the eight vehicles we feel could play a factor in shaping your fleet over the next 12 months. Whether it be for a company car list, cash allowance/salary sacrifice or the next batch of commercial workhorses, we cover it.

1- BYD Shark 6- Soon

Reports suggest that BYD could be set to bring the BYD Shark 6, a PHEV (plug-in hybrid) pick-up truck to the UK imminently. The pick-up is already on sale in other markets and it could be a game changer for fleets with a low Benefit-in-Kind (BiK) thanks to its combined Co2 emissions of 46g/km. Details around its launch are slim at the moment it it’s expected to offer a pure-electric range of up to 62 miles which is more than double of what the popular Ford Ranger offers. The towing capacity is expected to sit at 2,500kg and an additional 790kg payload.

2- Toyota Hilux BEV- January 2026

Is 2026 the year of the pick-up? Toyota revealed its first electric Hilux late in 2025 with it expected to hit the road in late January 2026. The 9th generation of the Hilux will feature a 59.2kWh battery and a range of 150 miles, not designed for long-haul towing but the ideal zero emission solution for utility firms, councils and site work. This could prove to be the first viable zero emission solution. The towing capacity will sit at 1,600kg and a payload of 715kg but the jewel in the crown is the Hilux’s 700mm wading depth and 212mm ground clearance.

3- Renault's new generation of electric vans- 2026

Renault has been knocking it out of the park in the last 12 months with the Renault 4 and 5 rebooted as electric models and now it’s breathing new life into its electric commercial vehicle range.

We expect to see the Renault Trafic, Goelette and Estafette come to the UK roads after being revealed at last year’s Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham.

Developed by Flexis, these vans will sit on a new purpose-built platform which is important as they have been designed with electric in mind from the ground up. With a recharge time of 15-80% in under 20 minutes and a target range of up to 280 miles across the range it promises to be a big seller for Renault.

The Trafic E-Tech will have a load space of 5.1 and 5.8 cubic metres putting it up against the best of the medium-van sector with Renault rethinking the whole of the cab and interior to bring it up to modern driver needs.

One to keep on your shortlist is the Renault Goelette- it’s expected to be focussed on specialist fleet use cases with a payload of up to 1,400kg and versions planned to include a chassis cab, box van and extended cab, it’s going to open many doors to fleets with specialist requirements without compromising on day-to-day needs.

Finally, we will see the Estafette which Renault will be pointing towards logistics and courier firms as well as last-mile fleets. At 2.6 metres tall it will allow a driver to stand up in the load area and with a walk-through cabin-to-cargo design it will be ideal for multi-drop work. The sliding side doors and rear roller shutter make it a compelling option for fleets.

4- Jaecoo 8- Mid March 2026

The Jaecoo 7 was one of the best-selling cars in the UK for 2025 and it’s easy to see why, with value at the heart of a car packed full of tech and a super-efficient engine backed by a hefty manufacturer warranty. Hot on that success we will get to see the Jaecoo 8 in mid-March.

The Jaecoo 8 will be a direct rival to the likes of the Hyundai Santa Fe and Skoda Kodiaq thanks to its size and features. With an advanced plug-in hybrid in the offing alongside a full petrol version, the Jaecoo 8 will prove popular across fleets thanks to a generous BiK band, and economic but comfortable ride offered. With prices expected to land between £36,000 and £40,000 it makes an attractive proposition.

5- Mercedes-Benz Vans- 2026

Mercedes-Benz has teased the all-new look for their commercial vehicle line-up which will be built on a new platform. Information is thin on the ground at the moment but we’re expecting to see a new VLE first up before a new Sprinter.

6- BMW iX3- deliveries from March 2026

We got to see our first glimpse of the all-new BMW iX3 at Fleet & Mobility Live in October 2025 and from the outset it impressed.

The BMW iX3 isn’t just another electric SUV, it’s the first one on BMW’s all-new Neue Klasse platform making it one of BMW’s most important fleet vehicles in a generation. With up to 500 miles range and an executive finish, it’s bound to be a hit for company car and salary sacrifice drivers.

7- KGM Musso EV- Q1 2026

It certainly looks like the year of the pick-up truck and KGM will get in on the action with the launch of its KGM Musso EV, it’s expected to pack a 80.6kWh battery with a range of up to 249 miles on a single charge. KGM are set to give us more insight soon.

8- Kia K4- August 2026

Long live the Sportwagon, that’s if you ask Kia executives. The Kia K4 Sportwagon is going to become one of the cars of 2026 for fleets. Replacing the Ceed, the estate still proves hugely popular with high-mileage drivers.

Crucially though, this will come with a Hybrid option for a low-CO2 and lower BiK option that fits nicely into company car policies. Kia’s strong warranty and ever-improving residual values and compelling price point makes this a fantastic option for UK fleets come August 2026.
